Hi

I'm using Visual Studio 2008 and .NET 3.5 and Q1 2008 Telerik ASP.NET AJAX controls.

I'm having trouble building a new web project in that it complains about telerik controls being 'unknown server tags'.

The funny thing is this use to work easily with Q3 2007 Prometheus controls.

I also have a large scale web application on my same computer that works fine. This uses the new Q1 2008 that was upgraded from Q3 2007.

If I drag+drop any Telerik control on a new web project, it will put an assembly registry on the ASPX page to Telerik.Web.UI and will put the same DLL in the Bin folder.

Is there something I've missed?

Kind regards

Hey Mark,

Hope this helps - I had the intellisense lost in my aspx pages when using medium trust. There seems to be some kind of a problem with the new release... Is it the same on your side?

Cheers,

Hi Blaize

Thanks for the input. However this is all on my local computer using Visual Studio, not IIS, and I have full administrator rights.

Does that mean trust shouldn't be an issue?

I don't know if it is related here but did Q3 2007 put an entry in the web.config file?

I notice that Q1 2008 doesn't do this for Telerik.Web.UI.

Our full scale web application has no entry there either but works fine.

I don't know what else to do?

Kind regards

Hi guys,

We are aware of the Medium Trust problem and we need more time to research what is causing it.

Mark, could you please to manually add the RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX controls to your web forms using the instructions provided in this article: Adding RadControls to an ASP.NET WebForm -> Adding Telerik Control to a WebForm manually.

Hi Rumen

Thanks for the reply, in my case it must have been some kind of trust issue after all. It seems that although my project existed locally the solution file was on a network drive.

When I made sure it was all created locally it worked fine.

Kind regards
