I have kept the row selection mode to extended. For selecting multiple rows using mouse, you have to keep the ctrl key pressed and start selecting the grid items. Can the same thing be done using keyboard, insense you press the ctrl key, start navigating the grid using up/down arrow key and to select a particular item, press the space key?

Hi Todd Millett,

In the Exteded mode you can use the Shift + Up / Down arrows to select multiple rows.

Hi Todd Millett,

When Multiple selection mode is used keys like Shift and Control do not have any effect on the selection. If you would like to use those keys to select/unselect items you should use Extended selection mode.

In the extended mode also I am able to select the rows using shift and up/down keys, but not able to select items using ctrl and up/down key. Can you please verify the behavior?

Hello,

The Controls key is used in conjunction with the mouse to select or unselect items. Keyboard selection is performed with the Shift key.

Hello Veselin,

Can you please give a demo code on how to use the extended mode of selecting rows using shift + up/down keys?

Many Thanks

Hi Darshan,

There isn't anything specific that needs to be done to get the Shift + Up and Down arrow keys to select RadGridView's items. You just need to set the SelectionMode of the control to Extended and RadGridView will behave as per your requirement out-of-the-box. More information can be found in the Multiple Selection topic. Can you please check it out?

Hopefully, this helps.

All the best,
