Hi,

One annoyance with the RadMap is that it looses the mouse when one is panning and drags the mouse outside of the map view area.
I would expect that as long as I have my mouse button down the mouse capture should continue even if I am outside of the mouse control.  The Bing Silverlight control is a good example of how this should work.

Cheers,
Clint

Hello Clint,

Thank you for your feedback.

Currently the mouse control works as designed but we will review and discuss the current implementation and compare it to the other controls.

Hi,

I would like to bump this issue again.  I just added a "floating" toolbar on top of my map that is designed to take mouse input but because the map doesn't capture the mouse when panning as soon as I mouseover the floating control the map looses its ability to pan.

I did notice that the docking windows when being dragged use mouse capture so that you can move your mouse whereever and not loose the mouse while dragging. If you needed a comparison with one of your other controls.

Cheers,
Clint

Hello Clint,

Thanks for getting back to us. We have reviewed the mouse behavior. We will use mouse capture in the 2010.Q1 official release.

Kind regards,
