Is it possible to maintain the text selection when the user changes between the Design, and HTML views? (e.g. I select the first two words of the sentence in the Design view and then click the HTML view, the first two words would still be selected) I am told Dreamweaver does this and my customer wants to know if it's possible for your control to do this as well.

Hi Charles,

Thank you for your feature request.

It is already logged in our ToDo list for new features, but its implementation will be very hard because the editor uses two different IFRAME elements in Design and Html mode and to make the implementation cross browser and bug free this will require a serious time of investigation and testing. It will also decrease the editing performance when loading a large content in the editor. That is why this feature is not logged with high priority and I cannot provide a firm estimate when it will be implemented.

It is also not correct to compare the web and desktop technologies because the web is restricted by the browser and javascript engine. That is why not all features provided by the desktop editors could be implemented with javascript in the web environmenet.

Nevertheless, I agree with you that this is a very nice and user friendly feature and it will definitely increase the usability of the control.

All the best,
Rumen
