How can I lock the tile position, so maximized tiles return to their original position? I see someone created a feature request for silverlight in 2010 for the same issue, but nothing in WPF.

Hi Charlie,

I believe what you;re looking for is the PreservePositionWhenMaximized property. Once set to True it makes the RadTileView preserve the position of its maximized items.

You can test this property in the FirstLook demo of the RadTileView control (you can download our demos from here). There is a PreservePositionWhenMaximized CheckBox in the configuration panel in the left part of the demo. You can check and uncheck it to test the behavior of the control in both cases.

Please give the property a try and let me know if that is what you had in mind.

Yes, this does indeed solve my issue, thanks. Please update the documentation to reflect this, if it does not exist already.

Hi Charlie,

I'm glad that the PreservePositionWhenMaximized property works for you. And I want to thank you for your feedback - this property was indeed missing from the RadTileView documentation. This is why I extended the Minimizing And Maximizing tutorial to include a section describing how to preserve the position of maximized items.

The changes will be uploaded to our live documentation next week.
