I dont think people praise the hard work and excellent controls you guys churn out enough. After years of being a Infragistics customer I have been stuck with terrible support, horrid documentation and lack lustre releases. Its just amazing seeing the difference between the two companies. I will never go back to IG and I for one am a very happy customer. Well done fellas, thanks to you guys my small company is churning out good looking, responsive and innovative code.

Just one thing though, the Prometheus or now AJAX window controls seems to really operate worse than the pre prometheus suite. This is with regards to dragging the window around. The old version was slick and fast whilst this version appears to chug a little. Just something i've noticed.

I must also say that I'm really amazed with the Q1 2008 release. Being a Prometheus user from the start, I'm really happy to see the evolutions and additions resulting in the current release.

I remember one of the staff members explaining the "slow" moving of the new radwindow. If I remember correctly the reason of that, it is because the new radwindow uses drawing classes in the Ajax framework that are different in the old version of the window. (I could be wrong though)

If thats the case then I telerik would you be willing to consider reverting the drag drop feature of the window back to the original? It really does perform badly especially when used on top of a splitter control. It just appears to freeze a little then move.

Hi Michael,

Could you please set the compilation's debug property to false in the web.config and test the window again, e.g.

<compilation debug="false">

debug=true makes the MS AJAX framework execute a log of debug code on the client that slows the performance down.

Hello all,

A quick followup - we do not like the way the MS AJAX Drag&Drop implementation performs either, and we are about to replace it with our own - which should perform faster and as smooth as the RadWindow Classic darag/move version. We will do our best to have the change made for the SP1.

Other than that, we are really happy to read such positive feedback - and we wish to assure you that the AJAX suite will only get better :)
