I'm using the radscheduler to export a timetable to iCAL  -  I need to include more fields (ie location, staff) to export than just the start date time ,title , description etc,  and so have added 2 fields in the CustomAttributeNames, - these appear on the calendar but are not included in the export file - is this possible or is outlook/google not able to read these fields?

Are there more fields that can be added to the Vcard - ie location or are these not included in the Telerik control.

Thanks

Hi,

Indeed, RadScheduler does not support exporting to iCalendar any additional fields but the basic ones such as start, end, subject and description.

Are you going to support other attributes such as Location in your roadmap?

Hi Frank,

Currently we do not have plans for implementation of additional attributes (as “Location”).
However, your suggestion makes sense and I forwarded it to our development team for consideration.

Hi,

I'm also really interested to see if Location is going to be included in the Ical Export - or maybe have details of a work around to include it , at the moment we have to include the information in the title and this is causing problems.

Thanks

Hi guys,

Thank you for the suggestions. Indeed the location is part of the ICalendar protocol and it would be good to have it linked to the export. However, the only way I can see this happening is to make use of the custom attributes functionality in the export. We will research the possibilities of doing so and will let you know in this thread.

All the best,

Hi Sencos,

We will make our best to include the ability to use "location" in the export as soon as possible.  Unfortunately currently there is no workaround for this issue. Please excuse us for this current limitation of the control.

Kind regards,

Hello Alain,

As I said in the support thread, the export method now sets the Location of the ICalendar event to the value of the "Location" custom attribute of the Scheduler's appointment.
