Has anyone encountered the inability to import a service reference when the Telerik.Windows.Controls.DataVisualizations are included in your references?

I can import/add the service reference just fine, however the methods do not import and the service itself is not referencable in code.  If I remove the Telerik.Windows.Controls.DataVisualizations reference and then Update Service Reference, all my methods show up and I can now make code references to the Service.

Any Ideas?

I am running the following:

1. Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate (RTM)
2. Telerik Silverlight Controls (Version: 2010.1.422.1040)
3. Silver 4 Tools (RTM)

Thanks,

Terry

Hello Terry Webster,

Can you send us a simple project so we can investigate this?

Kind regards,

Hi,

Any solution to this?

I have the same problem, exactly described as in this blog post:
http://uliasz.com/2011/06/wcf-custom-tool-error-failed-to-generate-code-for-the-service-reference/

I started to get the error when adding the DataVisualization referece to use RadMap.

Håkan

Hello Håkan,

Unfortunately we can't reproduce this issue using last release of RadControls for Silverlight (Q1 2012). Could you, please, provide us with your solution or with a small sample solution which reproduces it?
