Hi.

I am using new version of RadControl for ASP.NET Ajax with Moss and WSS3.0

I am trying to create custom skin for sharepoint environment. but all the information I found this forum is old controls.

I do know how to create custom skin in asp.net application but not in sharepoint dev.

Would you please help or provide me with any documents?

Thanks

Hello Young,

You can create custom skins in MOSS in the same manner as in standard ASP.NET AJAX-enabled web site.

Hi.

I got the custom skin worked but not in Datetimepicker.
I assume that Datetimepicker uses Calendar.myskin.css file
but date picker image and calendar images are not showing.
I included css file within my pages.
I can make this work by adding <DatePopupButton ImageUrl...>
but is this only way to do it?
I am using lots of datetimepicker thrughout my pages.

any clues?

Hi Young,

The other possible way to make RadDatePicker and RadCalendar images work with a custom skin is to set ImagesPath to the date picker and place all required images in the specified location:

arrorRight.gif
fastNavRight.gif
arrowLeft.gif
fastNavLeft.gif
clock.gif
clockHover.gif
datePickerPopup.gif
datePickerPopupHover.gif

Hi,

How to make that work with sprite.gif?

I have my custom skin but I did not split the sprite - sprite comes from original skin (Vista). ImagesPath requires that you have all specific images in that location.

To make it work with the sprite I needed to override all classes that I need from Calendar.Vista skin and all classes from Input.Vista and change EnableEmbeddedSkins to true and set skin for the control to Vista.

Cheers,

Hello Jakub,

I am not sure I understand your question - what to make work with sprite.gif? If you create a custom RadCalendar skin, based on some of our embedded skins, it will have a sprite image, which should work as expected, because the CSS file will contain all the necessary background position styles. In this case you don't need to set ImagesPath.

Please explain what exactly are you trying to do, what is the RadControls version and what custom skin you have (how have you created it).

Hi Daniel,

I was checking for information on use of skins in MOSS 2007. Are the skin files used in MOSS customization or do we use master page only.
I found these links Creating a custom skin , Tutorial: Creating a Custom Skin but the page don't seem to exsist now.
Can you help me with accessing this information or guide me on use of skin files in MOSS 2007 master pages.

Thanks,

Hello Smriti,

I'm not sure that I understand your question. As to the broken links - I reposted them below:
