I want to run the Template Wizzard and Project Wizzard but they don't exist. I downloaded RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX and installed it. I can't find the "Telerik" menu in Visual Studio that all the help docs talk about. I'm looking at this page in the help files http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/vsxtemplatewizard.html This page talks about a "RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX menu" item. Where is it supposed to be?

I know the install went correctly because Visual Studio Toolbox has a new group with all the tools. There is a Telerik folder on my Windows start menu. Where is this menu? Is this a sub menu buried in some really odd spot that I'm not seeing?

I'm using Visual Studio 2008 Professional (SP1 with all Windows updates).
The install program I downloaded and ran is named RadControls_for_ASP.NET_AJAX_2009_1_527_dev.exe
I have purchased the licensed product version.

Here is another help file page that talks about the "Menu" but does not tell me where to look for it http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/vsx_projectwizard.html

Thanks,
Greg

I figured out the problem. The menu item and wizzards are a separate install. Here is a thread with instructions.

http://www.telerik.com/community/forums/aspnet-ajax/vs-extensions/how-to-install-vs-extensions.aspx

Also, note to Telerik developers. You should metion this separate intall step in your help files. The help files led me in the wrong direction and created this confision in the first palce. An even better idea would be to roll everything including the Visual Studio Wizzards and Samples Applications into a single msi install file and let us pick the options we want to install.

Thanks,
Greg

Hi Greg,

Indeed, you're right! We added the Visual Studio Extensions to the RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX installation for the Q1 2009 SP2 and the Q2 2009 Beta releases. The next releases will include the Visual Studio Extensions as well.

Kind regards,
