    Hello Gavin Reid,
There is no problem using RadEditor for MOSS in WSS 3.0, however you will have to disable all the MOSS related tools in the respective ToolsFile.xml and ListToolsFile.xml. Review the following online help article http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/installing-radeditor-in-wss-v3-environment.html.

    Best wishes,

    Hello Anders,
Will the RadEditor for MOSS Lite replace the editor in the Content Editor Webpart as well as lists? - No, it will not.

You can use RadEditor for MOSS in the following scenarios.
    1. RadEditor Web Part.
    2. List Items - list, wiki, blog ...
    3. Web Content Management scenario (WCM)
