I have used a RadRibbonSplitButton in the application menu. Problem is that when clicked, the menu disappears. I want nothing to happen when clicked, only the hover to open the sub menu in the content area.
Should I use a backstage instead? What is the difference between backstage and app menu? Should I use one over the other? Can I use both?
The RadRibbonBackStage menu is designed to have the look and feel of the Backstage in Office 2010 applications. RadRibbonBackstage inherits RadTabControl so the Hover effect that you want cannot be achieved easily. When using the RadSplitButton or RadDropDownButton in the ApplicationMenu, you can try to set KeepOpen to true in order to prevent the closing of the Menu. Please let us know if you need further info or assistance.
