I have a situation where I have added a new pane to the docking control, since the software has been released.  Anyone who has used the software before I added this new pane has a file with the saved layout information.  When the software is loaded, it uses the layout file to format the dock panel.

I'm having an issue allowing the user to display the new pane that I added.  Since it was created after the layout file was saved, it's data is not included within it.  How do I add new panes to the dock after an "out of date" layout file is loaded?

Hi Jason,

This is not supported out-of-the box. You have to add the new pane in the XML of the old layout. You can generate the new XML with the new pane and replace the old one with it.

Hope this information helps.
