I have just upgraded to Firefox 3.6, and Radupload isn't working anymore!!!! My versions of the component is the 2.0.2.0. I know it is a very old one, but it has always worked correctly until now. No problems with IE8 or Safari 4.0.4.

    Please help!!!

    Hi Jesus,

Indeed there is problem with FF 3.6 and version 2.0.2.0 of the classsic upload. Could you please upgrade to version 2.4.8.x and check whether the issue persist? I have tested the online demos, which use the 2.4.8.x version, and they seem to work.

    All the best,

All versions of ASP.NET AJAX work great on Firefox 3.6. I guess at some point I had to upgrade from the classic ASP.NET controls. I wish there could be some kind of discount for just upgrading.

    Thanks.

    Hello Jesus,

Since your subscription has been expired for more than two years now, in order to upgrade to the most recent release of the RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX suite, you have to purchase a new license for it. As a returning customer you are eligible to receive $200 off of your purchase, which means that 1 RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX Developer Subscription License with Priority Support would cost you $799 ($999 list price– $200 returning customer discount).

Another option for you would be to purchase 1 Telerik Premium Collection for .NET license. The returning customer discount applies here as well, so if you decide to proceed with this option, 1 Premium Collection license would cost you $1099 ($1299 list price - $200 returning customer discount). The Premium Collection is our value added proposition and by purchasing it, you would not only receive the latest ASP.NET AJAX version, but also get the WinForms/Silverlight/WPF/OpenAccess/Reporting product lines with 12 months of subscription (free product updates and priority level support).

Please let me know how you’d like to proceed.

    Best wishes,
    Emilia

I think I will test just the controls I need, as I'm afraid it will take a lot of time to update my entire website with the new controls.

    Thanks for your help.

Our whole upload control is not appearing in Firefox 3.6 and our corporate clients are fuming. Is there a code-based workaround or fix for this specific issue that does not involve upgrading? Or is there a way to only upgrade the Upload component?

Perhaps your company can go back and put the fix into your old RadUpload.Net2.dll (e.g., version 2.0.2.0) and send that out as a patch for users who still use it. Upgrading every Telerik control in a complex web application is incredibly costly and time consuming, especially when the problem is in one control on one browser. (BTW we do own and use the later Telerik.Web.UI.dll in our newer projects but we also have many projects that still use the old ones.)

Because of this we are now replacing all of our Telerik upload controls with JQuery ones and are looking to replace all Telerik controls in our many enterprise-level applications with ones that are lighter weight, easier and more cost effective to maintain, especially now that all controls are in 1 Telerik.Web.UI.dll.

Please let me know if there is a way that this can be fixed without having to upgrade all of our controls.

    Hello Isaac,

By the time version 2.0.2.0 of RadUpload was released FireFox 3 was not even in development. This is the reason why it has issues with that version. Fortunately, the latest version of the classic RadUpload works with FireFox 3.6. Since the latest version is till part of the classic controls, not of the AJAX ones, there should be no problems when upgrading. I am attaching trial version of the latest classic release to this post. Could you please give it a try and observe whether the issue persist?

I have 2010 Q3. And radupload is not working on FF4. Really?

Do we really have to buy new Radcontrols every time FF make new version? And FF5 is on development already. Are we going to have to upgrade once FF5 gets released again?

    Hello Jesus Inzunza,

RadControls for ASP.NET classic are no longer maintained. In order to get full support for the latest browsers upgrade to the ASP.NET Ajax suite is needed. I suggest that you take a look at the following diagram, which explains the RadControls for ASP.NET life cycle.
