Not answered RAD Grid control - Export to excel function overriding

    Hi,

    Can anyone in this forum have answer for my question?

    From which version of RAD Grid control "export to excel function over-riding" feature available(cell formatting). When i explored Telerik, i found that the above said feature is available from Q3 “Futures” build (Telerik.Web.UI_2007_3_1205) which released on Dec 2007.     Currently i'm using RAD Grid v4.6. Is that version support the feature explained? Pls. do a reply

    Also let me know the list of RAD Grid versions. (a reference is also helpful)

    Hello Viswanathan,

    None of the "classic" versions have a ExcelExportCellFormatting event. This functionality was introduced in
    RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX Q2 2008 SP1 release history

    Thanks for your reply.

    But in the below said reference states that from RAD controls for ASP.Net AJAX 2007.3.1218 itself, it is having those features!!!


    Could you pls. cross-check on this and let me know?

    Hello Viswa,

    1. ExcelExportCellFormatting event is used when export to HTML Excel format

    2. ExcelML format is different than the aforementioned HTML. Again, it is introduced with the RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX (this feature is not available in RadControls for ASP.NET aka "Classic" version)

    Export to Microsoft Excel/Word/PDF/CSV
