    Requirements

Kendo UI Suite and Version: 2012.3.1114

    jQuery Version:  v1.8.2

    Supported Browsers and Platforms: All

    Components/Widgets used : kendoWindow

    PROJECT DESCRIPTION
A sample test project that may help you get started with a desktop like application.
I am far from an expert on KendoUI, but should get you going.

    - Icons on window headers.
    - Stop windows from overlapping status bar
    - Minimize fully hides windows
    - Status bar button show/hide windows.
    - Full destroy on close window.

I know there is an issue on maximize.

I am hoping for others to improve on this. I welcome any comments.

    Enjoy!

    Hello Michael,

Thank you for sharing this solution. As a small sign of our appreciation for the contribution I updated your Telerik points.

On a side note, I noticed that after clicking the "Hide All" button, the following JavaScript error occurs:
Uncaught Error: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: ##

The problem occurs in all browsers (Chrome, Firefox, IE). Could you please check what is going wrong?

    Best regards,

Sure no problem, I'll update a newer version as well with Start Menu and other enhancements.
Thanks for the points, will be purchasing complete this month.

Here is the original sample with error fixed. I am pretty deep into the project that uses this layout. I will upload the enhanced version in a few days.

    Hi Michael and Alexander

This is fantastic. I only have one important question. Where am I supposed to add CONTENT to both of the defined windows (openWin1 and openWin2)? They are empty when loaded.

I am fine with adding content to a new window in <div> HTML5 but not to these predefined windows in JavaScript.
