Q2 2013 Public Roadmap

Q2 will bring new productivity controls and features that will further cut your time and costs to market. We will continue to heavily invest in new development for the platform and as always we will pioneer against any new major version or update that’s coming for Windows Phone. There are other great and major initiatives that have already been started and we will announce the first results of them sometime in the Q2 timeframe.

New Tools and Components

ImageEditor- If you are a developer working on a productivity or entertainment app, you quite often might need to enable your users to edit, save or share images. With RadImageEditor photo editing has never been easier. You will perform operations such as crop/resize/rotate/zoom/apply effects/etc and that all coming out-of-the-box.

New Major Features

Chart

  • Multiple Axis
Easily Visualize Multiple Data Series in a Single Chart. Thanks to the Multi-Axis support you can display several data series based on multiple parameters in a single chart. You can contrast a set of countries based on their population, size and per-capita income. Without the Multi-Axis support you would have to use 3 separate chart series.
  • Empty Values
When you need to display non-continuous data on the chart's plot area you will be able to do so with the out-of-the-box support for Empty Values in RadChart for Windows Phone. Missing values will be represented as gaps.
  • Annotations
Make a note of trends or observations on your charts. Annotations are notes that you can attach to a specific data point, to the plot area or define them in your very custom way.

InputPrompt

  • Multiple Input Fields
With support for multiple input fields your end-users will be able to submit all input data at once, thus improving the UX of your app by saving the end-user additional steps.
