Application Profiling and Data Analysis

Home/OpenAccess ORM/Application Profiling

Telerik OpenAccess ORM comes with a built-in .NET data-access analysis and profiling tool, which eliminates the common "black box" problem associated with ORM frameworks. With support for SQL visualization, performance deficiency analysis and detection, summary values, and in-memory or log analysis, the Telerik OpenAccess Profiler helps you visually understand and optimize the OpenAccess-powered data operations. The Telerik Application Profiler is free with Telerik OpenAccess ORM.

Gain Trust in Telerik OpenAccess ORM

The OpenAccess ORM Profiler is a fully transparent “looking glass” of what SQL script has been generated by OpenAccess ORM; how much SQL is being generated; and how efficient the SQL is. It is a visual debugger which surfaces the ORM’s operations and lets you see what's really happening inside your application. By doing this, you will find that Telerik’s O/R mapper can create code as good as yours, give you the performance benefits you are after, and save you time from generating the data-access code by hand.

Monitor and Optimize Data Operations

The OpenAccess Profiler makes it simple to visualize and summarize the application's data operations either in real time (even in production) or from a log file saved from a previous profiling sessions. It analyzes and detects programming and coding mistakes, performance drawbacks (in SQL statements, stored procedure requests, ad-hoc queries, transactions, connections, parameter values, even returned rows), and inefficient use of the database. It is also a data tuning advisor, which will show alerts when certain thresholds are reached, and will help you fine-tune the SQL and data performance of your OpenAccess-generated persistence layer.

Profiler Views

In addition to the regular performance visualization view, the OpenAccess Profiler features a view, which helps IT professionals and DBAs to define the OpenAccess profiling metrics to their needs. The view is a configurable dashboard with many charts, where IT is able to choose between Database Read/Write Traffic, Second Level Cache Hits, Context Pool, and Connection Pool.

Database Support

The Profiler works with all databases supported by Telerik OpenAccess ORM.
