  • The Only Stop You’ll Need

Telerik ListView for iOS provides the most frequently used functionalities associated with a ListView scenario, all in one framework. This eliminates the overhead of integrating multiple solutions from different authors. To make data consumption and shaping easier for developers, the control works seamlessly with the Telerik DataSource control, which serves as an intermediary between the raw data to be displayed and the UI component.

  • Data Operations

The control supports grouping with customizable headers and footers. The headers and footers indicate the grouping criteria and provide summaries for the groups. ListView integrates with Telerik DataSource, which serves as an intermediary between the raw data to be displayed and the UI component. DataSource enables you to sort, filter and group data, then serves the processed data view to ListView.

  • Items Swipe Behavior

The items swipe feature enables end-users to swipe an item to reveal actionable content beneath.

  • Smooth UX Even with Large Data Sets

Using UI Virtualization, the control extends the standard UICollectionView and provides a smooth experience while displaying large data sets.
Another feature making ListView lightning-fast is load-on-demand, which loads a set of new items as the users scrolls down. This optimizes the initial loading of the app and the new items are loaded before the user reaches the bottom of the ListView.

  • Items Reorder Behavior

The control features items reorder functionality to provide additional end user flexibility when interacting with content.

  • Items Animations

ListView for iOS features animation effects for the items as the user scrolls up or down. The supported animations effects include:
    • Scale in
    • Fade In
    • Slide In

  • Different Layout Modes

ListView supports had three dedicated layouts implemented - linear, grid and staggered. The linear layout is a single column layout, spreading the column to fill the available device width. The grid layout arranges the items in a predefined number of columns, spreading columns and the contained items to fill the available device width. The staggered layout allows you to have items of different size. The flow layout arranges the items in dynamic number of columns depending on the predefined width of the items. Each layout can be vertical (the default state) or horizontal.

As a UICollectionView descendant, ListView supports the UICollectionView layouts like for example the UICollectionViewFlowLayout.

  • ListView for iOS Selection Support

Telerik ListView for iOS supports both single and multiple selection. Items can be selected on tap or on hold gestures. The combination between single/multiple and tap/hold covers all popular selection scenarios. ListView comes with a ready-to-use selection icon.

  • Pull to Refresh

ListView for iOS can easily accommodate a “feed” app scenario, with pull-to-refresh functionality out-of-the-box. Mirroring the expected behavior for in-app content update, the items load on top of the feed by pulling down from the top of the list. Telerik pull-to-refresh functionality offers loading indicator customization as well.
