Telerik established its Support Lifecycle Policy to make the support timeline of Telerik UI for ASP.NET AJAX clear and predictable, thus helping customers make more accurate plans for their own products and support.
Mainstream Support is the highest level of support for all Telerik controls. While covered by Mainstream Support, the product receives support through all support channels and adds new functionality, improvements and bugs.
When a product suite enters Limited Support, it continues to receive bug fixes and support through all support channels, but does not add new functionality. Only features and controls that do not depend on newer framework features will be added during Limited Support.
When a product enters the Extended Support phase, it no longer receives active support. Support for these products is available on a pay by incident basis for at least 2 years after a product suite leaves the Limited Support phase.
The following chart shows the differences between the three support phases for the Telerik UI control suites:
Telerik will offer a minimum of two years of Mainstream Support for each version of Telerik UI for ASP.NET AJAX. Once a new version of the .NET framework has been released, Telerik will offer one additional year of Mainstream Support for the previous framework version. After that year has elapsed, Telerik will provide two additional years of Limited Support for the previous framework version. Extended Support for a previous framework version will begin three years after a new version has been released.

This policy is effective immediately and applies to all versions of Telerik UI for ASP.NET AJAX (formerly known as RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX). Telerik reserves the right to amend this policy as required by shifting customer demand and marketplace forces.
