We are introducing a Telerik Version Upgrade Tool to simplify updating applications to newer versions of Telerik UI for WPF. The tool will help developers identify breaking changes that affect their code and provide guidance and automatic way for resolving them, reducing the manual effort involved in upgrading.

By making compatibility issues easier to find and address, the tool will help teams keep their applications up to date and benefit from the latest fixes, features and improvements with greater confidence.

 

We will enhance Spreadsheet with support for text orientation in cells, enabling users to adjust the direction and angle of cell content. This will make it easier to create compact column headers, improve readability and organize worksheets with more flexible layouts.

 

We will enhance RichTextBox to support shapes when importing and exporting documents in XAML format. This will help preserve graphical elements and document layout when saving and reopening content, reducing the need to manually restore shapes during document editing workflows.

 

We will enhance GanttView with support for creating recurring tasks, making it easier to plan activities that repeat over time. This will help developers support scenarios such as routine maintenance, regular reviews and recurring operational work without requiring users to create each task individually.

 

We will improve Docking to support scaling through ScaleTransform, including its docking compasses and drop indicators. This will help developers resize the docking interface while keeping visual guidance consistent during drag-and-drop interactions.

The enhancement will make it easier to incorporate docking layouts into applications with custom UI scaling requirements.

 

Telerik UI for WPF will support the official .NET 11 release, enabling developers to adopt the latest version of .NET with confidence. We are working to ensure compatibility across our controls and a smooth upgrade path for existing applications, helping you benefit from the runtime and tooling improvements introduced in .NET 11.

 

We will simplify package management by publishing Telerik UI for WPF NuGet packages to NuGet.org and making project templates available through the NuGet ecosystem. This will streamline initial setup, improve package discovery, and simplify dependency resolution. 

 

We plan to enhance the Telerik Spreadsheet for WPF with AI-powered querying capabilities. Users will be able to interact with data using natural language and quickly generate insights without relying on complex formulas or manual analysis. This will improve productivity in data-heavy scenarios. 

Following up with the new Telerik CLI , we will provide a streamlined CLI-based onboarding experience for the WPF suite as well that will help developers quickly onboard the product, create and configure projects. This will significantly reduce startup time and ensure smoother initial setup including licensing. 

The SmartPaste button will enable intelligent data entry by allowing structured UI elements to be populated from unstructured sources such as emails, documents, or external systems. This will reduce repetitive manual work and speed up input-heavy workflows. 

We will be improving further the AI capabilities in the DataGrid and we will introduce semantic search that will allow users to perform natural language queries. Results will be based on contextual relevance rather than exact matches and this will improve data discovery and usability. 

 

We will continue refining existing components based on your feedback, focusing on the most requested features and usability improvements. Expect enhancements across controls like Spreadsheet, GridView, RichTextBox, and more – ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience throughout the suite.
