You can define multiple levels of items inside the menu. This allows you to group commands based on their end-result. For example, you can group Font commands in multiple levels: first level - Font Style; second level: Bold, Italic, Underline, etc.
Menu items can have different selection behaviors. Some items can be toggled (e.g. font style items like Bold, Italic, etc.) while others can be grouped together, so that only a single item can be selected at a time from a group of items (useful for color or size selection).
