Telerik Data Storage for Windows 8 facilitates the communication with the SQL database, which can be a serious overhead for a non C++ developer, who is not familiar with the native Windows 8 development paradigms. The functionality makes store login credentials, user details or any other app-related data to the local SQLite storage much easier, without sacrificing the memory of the devices. Your application can store data while it is offline without you having to create your own storage engine and data serialization architecture. The retrieved data through the Data Storage can be easily consumed by any data controls from the Windows 8 suite such as Grid or Chart.
Even though it is built on top of SQLite, Telerik Data Storage is not a simple SQLite wrapper for Windows 8. We've brought together the flexibility of SQLite with the ease of use of .NET. As a result, the component strays from the typical SQLite programming model towards a friendlier, more familiar set of technologies inherently familiar to .NET developers. Automatic schema inference and LINQ support in .NET, are some of the features that make developers feel right at home. The result is a tool that feels natural to use in the target development environment.
