As of our next release, we plan to upload our WPF and Silverlight Demo application to the Windows Store. The application showcases all the controls available in the suite and gives users the opportunity to review the code and have a real example of the controls in action with preloaded data.
Telerik UI for Silverlight includes Document Processing Libraries, making it possible to process the most common text, spreadsheet and PDF file formats within the application. These have been receiving a huge amount of interest, so we’ve provided a constant flow of new features for document processing in our past releases. Starting in R3, we plan to make RadPDFProcessing as a portable library, which will provide for more flexibility and speed in releasing updates to our Document Processing offering.
In our autumn release, we plan to extend forms support with form filling, in addition to the recently released forms display. Another feature we plan to include is editing, which will allow users to edit fields in PDF documents such as templates and applications in a formalized manner.
A highly requested feature for our Silverlight UI is the open, save and browse folder file dialogs. We’ll make those available in R3 so users experience a consistent UI throughout the application.
In R3 2017, we plan to include Google Analytics integration with Telerik UI for Silverlight. Google Analytics is a must-have tool for cases requiring detailed reporting within desktop applications. By integrating it into the suite, users will be able to integrate data collection in their applications. By leveraging the built-in tracked features as well as adding your own events, you’ll be able to see application usage and areas of improvement.
