• Do you offer discounts to educational and non-profit organizations?

  Yes, we offer discounts to established educational, non-profit and charity entities provided that you purchase directly from us. Our standard discount is 10% and can be applied to any product license. These special discounts cannot be combined with any other type of discount.

  To qualify for the discount, you need to send us a document clearly indicating that you are a member of the respective institution. An official e-mail from your official account which bears your signature is sufficient in most cases.

• Do you offer volume discounts?

  Telerik offers the following volume discounts:

  2 to 5 licenses - 10%
  6 to 10 licenses - 15%

  Volume discounts are applicable to volume purchases of identical products in any single purchase, and cannot be used for multiple orders.

• Do you offer competitive upgrades?

• How can I place an order online?

  The fastest and easiest way to obtain a Telerik product license is through our online store: www.telerik.com/purchase.aspx

  1. After you select a license you will be asked to review and agree to the License Agreement.
  2. On the following screen you will be prompted to enter your billing information and the end-user (the person who will own and manage the license) information.
  3. Finally you will be prompted to enter your payment details.
  4. Within a couple of minutes after placing the order you will receive an automatic purchase confirmation letter.

• What is VAT ID and where do I enter it?

  Private customers from EU member states must pay VAT on purchases of electronically-delivered products. If your company resides in the European Union and has a valid VAT ID, please enter this information in the VAT ID field of the online order form. If you do not enter a VAT ID, you will be recognized as a private customer and the VAT rate for your country will be added to the basic price of the software. Corporate and/or private customers from USA and other non-EU countries are NOT affected by this regulation.

• How can I order a license for someone else?

  Upon making the purchase through our e-store you will find a special 'License Holder Details' section where you will be able to fill out the end-user details (email and name). The license will be automatically activated under the License Holder's account and he/she will receive an email with download instructions whereas the electronic invoice will be sent to the email entered under "Billing Information."

• Do you work with resellers?

• How do I renew my Subscription?

  In order to renew, log in to Your Account and go to the "Renewals & Upgrades" page. Make sure you renew before your license expires though. You'll only get our best possible rates before your license has expired. Don't worry about not knowing when your early renewal opportunity closes however. You'll receive up to 4 reminder e-mails before your subscription expires. We'll send them at 2 months, 1 month, 2 weeks and 1 week before expiry.

• How can I check my upgrade options?

  Any individual product or product bundle can be upgraded at any time to a higher value product bundle. The upgrade price varies depending upon your original order or most recent renewal date. When you upgrade, you're support term is also renewed for another year from the date of the upgrade.

  Please visit the "Renewals & Upgrades" page in Your Account to review the specific upgrade options and pricing applicable to you.

• What payment methods do you accept?

  As payment methods we accept credit cards, wire transfers and checks.
  
  To pay with wire transfer or check, please send us the following information, so that we can generate a Proforma invoice for you:

  · The license holder e-mail address
  · The license(s) you would like to purchase
  · The quantity
  · If you would like the subscription included
  · Your VAT ID (if applicable)
  
  When you send the payment, please include the Proforma invoice number with the wire details.

• What types of credit cards do you accept?

  We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, JCB, Diners Club and Carte Blanche. The advantage of using a credit card to make your payment is that your order will be processed immediately and you will be able to download the software without delay. If your CC is not mentioned in the list above, you can also pay via bank transfer or check. In that case you will need to send us a Purchase Order.

• We want to make a wire transfer. What currencies do you accept?

  We accept wire transfers only in US dollars. Bank account information will be included in your invoice. Please review the Purchase Orders page for more information on how to raise a PO.

• Do you accept checks?

  Telerik accepts checks issued in US dollars. Please, make your checks payable to:

• Do you accept purchase orders?

• How do I receive the invoice for my purchase?

  Once your order is finalized, you will receive an email receipt for the payment.

  In case you need an official PDF invoice, you can request one by posting us a ticket through your Telerik account (the account under which the purchase has been made). When you login you need to go to: "Your Account" >> "View Order History", and from there you will be able to request an invoice for any of your orders.

• Do you offer refunds?

  We are very proud that only a few customers have requested a refund because we provide a quality pre-sales experience:
  
  • Our trials are fully functional and never expire
  • Our trial license includes thirty days of free Technical Support, so you can contact our technical support team
  • Our products are well-documented and they are supplemented with a vibrant, active on-line community
  
  Returns are honored by special request only and cannot be guaranteed.  Generally, we make refunds only in case a credit card was stolen and used to purchase a Telerik product license.
  
  There are no refunds granted for any product purchases or renewals once the source code has been downloaded. To request a refund, please e-mail us at sales@telerik.com with the reason(s) why you are requesting a refund, and a member of our team shall respond promptly to your inquiry.

• How do Telerik Developer Licenses work?

  Each Developer License allows 1 developer to work with the design-time product. If you purchase a license for a product bundle, such as DevCraft Complete, all the tools in the bundle are licensed to 1 developer, and only that developer is able to develop products with the tools in the bundle. Developer Licenses are perpetual and have NO deployment limitations - they allow the use of our controls for an unlimited number of applications spanning various servers and domains. In contrast to competitive products, the Telerik Developer License works WITHOUT license keys and you can be certain that you will never get a license key error.

• Are the support packages different for the different licenses?

  Yes. Every product* license comes with support. However, the level of support provided by each license is dependent upon the product you purchased or are trying. Learn more about our support plans by going to the "Support Plans" page.
  *Free products do not include support aside from what is freely available online, except when they are a part of a product bundle. In this case, free products receive the same level of support as the rest of the products in the bundle.

• What happens with my support package when my subscription expires?

  Both the Standard and Priority support packages expire after 1 year. If you want to renew your support, you need to renew/purchase a subscription license for one of the suites. If you decide not to renew your support package, you will still be able to use the forum and KB articles, but you will not be able to take advantage of the on-line ticketing system or e-mail support.

• Can I use the product(s) after my subscription expires?

  You can continue using the products that were licensed to you during the subscription term even after the subscription expires. In case you would like to continue to receive product updates and support, you need to renew your subscription.

• Can I assign users from anywhere in the world to my license?

  Upon your purchase of a product license you become the License Holder and a customer account is created in our system. You will have access to a special utility in Your Account from where you can assign licensed users (developers or consultants). The assigned user will receive his/her own credentials to log into the system and will have access to the software and support.
  
  Whenever you decide to re-assign the product to another user you can delete the current Licensed User from your Users list and assign a new User. There will not be a physical transfer of the license as everything happens online and is a matter of granting rights regardless of where the user is located.

• Am I entitled to free upgrades as part of my license?

  Except in the case of trial downloads and free products, every product comes with either Priority Support or Ultimate Support. Both of these support plans entitle you to receive all product upgrades and updates released during the support term that you selected when you purchased or last renewed your license

• Which license should I purchase if I want access to Source code?

  Every Developer License comes with access to source code for all UI product(s) (ASP.NET AJAX, WPF, KendoUI Complete for MVC, etc.) included in the product or bundle for the duration of the support term you chose when you purchased or renewed your license. Trial Licenses and free downloads do not come with access to source code.

• How does your licensing handle redistribution rights?

  Our developer licenses are royalty free - the licensed developer can use our tools in:
  
  •  .NET solutions for internal company use
  •  Hosted ASP.NET (AJAX) applications
  •  Commercial solutions deployed for end-customers by our customers
  
  There are only 3 limitations which require additional discussion with our sales team:
  
  • A product that exposes the design-time of our products. Examples: Visual Studio.NET plug-in, code generators. More or less, none of the commercial component vendors is OK with this type of usage.
  • Modules/components that DO not add significant primary functionality. Example: a DotNetNuke skin that is sold as a separate product and includes RadMenu. In such cases we offer skin developers a reseller arrangement so that everyone has an incentive to enter into a relationship.
  • Open source projects. We are avid supporters of many open source initiatives. However, our standard policies do not allow the native integration of our products in open source products as there aren't any good ways to protect our products in such an environment. It's just too much legal lingo and administration to ensure that everyone downloading a project on SourceForge knows what's inside, what parts of the solution he/she can use freely and which he/she cannot and so on.

• How is the software delivered?

  The software is delivered electronically only. There is no physical shipment.

  Should you need any assistance with downloading the software, please do not hesitate to contact sales@telerik.com.

• How do I obtain my credentials for my customer account and download the software?

  After placing an order you should receive 2 e-mails: one with payment information and another one with software download instructions.
  
  In case you do not have an active account with Telerik, you will also receive an email with an activation link, through which you will be able to set your password.
  
  The e-mail with software download instructions will be sent to the License Holder's email account specified in the order form. It will contain the license holder's login credentials and download instructions. This e-mail should arrive within 15 minutes after you placed the order.
  
  You will be able to download the software from Your Account. You will only need to follow the instructions in the order confirmation e-mail sent to the end-user.

• How quickly is the software delivered?

  The software is delivered electronically and delivery time is immediate. If you have placed the order online, you will receive the order confirmation e-mail with software download instructions within minutes. You will be able to download the purchased software from Your Account.
  
  If you have sent us a Purchase Order, please allow 24 hours for processing.

• Do you offer a free trial?

  We offer fully functional trials which work without license keys and can be conveniently deployed on any development, test or production machine. The only difference between the trial and the developer build is that with the evaluation copy you will get a trial message on top of the control once in a while when the control is rendered. Upon replacing the trial dll with the developer dll, the trial message will disappear.

• How long can I use a free trial?

  The free trial licenses of all Telerik Developer Tools will be available for 30 days after activation. The trial licenses are fully functional, but display trial messages randomly on the page.

• Are the individual controls available separately or just as part of the suites?

  The controls can only be purchased as part of the respective product suites (RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX, RadControls for WinForms, RadControls for Silverlight and RadControls for WPF). The controls share common frameworks/resources and cannot be shipped separately.

• Do you still support the individual Telerik ASP.NET controls?

  Telerik ASP.NET controls were superseded by ASP.NET AJAX controls. Updates and bug fixes for the previous controls were offered through 2010. Currently we offer limited support only. • What is Kendo UI Complete for ASP.NET MVC?

  Kendo UI is a HTML5, jQuery-based framework for building modern HTML apps. Kendo UI Complete for ASP.NET MVC enables developers comfortable with the ASP.NET MVC framework to easily incorporate and configure Kendo UI via familiar server-side programming instead of relying solely on manual HTML and JavaScript.
