The Sales Dashboard for Windows Forms is a composite business application for visualizing a company’s sales force performance. It provides senior management with a dynamic application that enables monitoring and evaluation of enterprise sales. By using statistical data representation, detailed information about individual sales, tools for filtering data by various parameters it greatly facilitates the decision-making process in a classic business scenario.
The application illustrates the practical use of Telerik RadControls in a hybrid business application, which utilizes the best of WinForms and WPF. It is built with Telerik’s WinForms components, and implements the Telerik CAB Enabling Kit for WinForms, which helps in the development of smart-client line-of-business (LOB) applications. The use of RadChart for WPF showcases the easy cross-platform integration between Telerik product lines. Telerik OpenAccess ORM was used for the enterprise-grade data access layer, which together with the advanced binding mechanism of RadControls the data is displayed with minimum coding. On the presentation level Telerik’s RadControls provide excellent usability, interactivity and performance, while Telerik OpenAccess ORM ensures data is properly moved between the application and the database.
