    is it possible to have a text box as a toolbar item.

    Preferably, it will be possible to have a custom control that has a text box and a button.

    Hello Steven,

    Since the RadToolBar is an ItemsControl you can basically place pretty much whatever you need inside its content. I attached a sample project that you can examine. You can also have a look at the control's online documentation for more info about it.
