  Given this visual depiction of a date value from database to RadDatePicker, what do I have to do differently to have the RadDatePicker show the watermark 'Date Complete' instead of the Date value '1/1/001' which I employed via DateTIme() to get around DateTime?  nullable conversion level error at the service level.
  DateTimeWatermarkContent Property
  Gets or sets the content of the RadDateTimePicker control when there is no entered text. This is a dependency property.

  Thank you for the screenshot.
  
  This is the property which needs to be set. Could you please share with us which version of the controls you are using? I tested with Q2 2011 SP1 and everything seems to work as expected.
