Would you please provide me with an example of how to style DatePicker, for example how to change the standard DropDown button icon.

Hello Olena,
You can customize RadDateTimePicker control by editing its template in Expression Blend. Please find attached a sample with some basic modifications. Please, search for NOTE to check modified spots.
