Community Recognition Program
We all know how software development is - sometimes questions pop up that we do not have answers to. What’s worse, an impediment may arise that we simply do not understand. We try searching everywhere, digging through help files, reviewing examples, trying out search engines, only to find that there is no easy solution to our problems.
We, at Telerik, have been there and we understand your position when you get stuck with our own tools. This is why we prefer to have the answers ready for you. Telerik was the first company in the industry to treat Forum posts as regular support inquiries, which inevitably helped us get more recognition among developers. Our Forums are the most active Forums among all 3rd party control vendors and we know that they hold solutions to many different problems, be them Telerik-related or technology-related. We were the first to offer a Code Library which to host interesting projects with our tools. And these resources are free to post for you as well - so that you can help fellow developers. This has lead to the successful company we are today and we want to kindly thank you for your involvement in the Telerik community!
We believe that a solid community will benefit everyone. This is why we have developed the Community Recognition Program, which aims to recognize each person’s contribution to the Telerik community. We prefer to award you if you share your solution to a problem that no one has tackled before, and know that many other people will benefit from it. Your community involvement plays an important role in everyone’s development efforts - developers will be able to use your solution to solve their own problems, and we will know where we fall short of your expectations.
Historically, we have seen the greatest community contribution in the Forums, where many Telerik customers answer questions from fellow developers, however there are many different ways to get recognized and awarded. We offer three different User Status Levels, indicated by a small icon next to your naming in the Forums:
- Beginner Status, indicated by a white icon, meaning that you have not earned any status yet. This usually indicates that you are new to the Forums;
- Intermediate Status, indicated by a fellow with a hat. This status is received automatically after you post several times in unique Forum threads;
- People get the Master Status after being very active in the Telerik Forums. These are the guys that take the most out of Telerik, both in terms of Telerik Points and monthly awards;
- Ultimately, you can be awarded the MVP Status with all of its benefits, and know that you are helping directly in our company’s success.
In addition to the upgrade in the icon, the most active community poster each month for a given month gets a personal present from the Telerik private collection.
Your help in building strong Telerik community will be highly appreciated!
