Biography
I came late to the IT industry. first having studied sports science, and then business I joined the IT industry when I was 29 as an enthusiastic support technician, helping users with mobile devices.
In my spare time, I would write knowledge base articles and assist the development team. After a year, I was offered to either go into technical sales, or development so I chose development.
Starting on vb script projects, I co-wrote the worlds first commercially available WAP application, and went on to write web based software for Orange, Microsoft, Nokia and other blue chip companies.
Since then I have managed large teams of web and windows developers, DBAs and Testers, but my passion has always been with development.
I am now developing again full time, using the Telerik suite of controls to build a pharmacy head office system to control groups of branches. I know how difficult it can be to get to grips with new products and processes and I have always loved to help others to get to where they want to be. Helping others is also a way of helping oneself, keep up to date and learn some new things on the way at the same time.
Now, when I'm not working or dancing (yes, I do some dancing), I enjoy the satisfaction that comes from knowing that someone has had an easier day because of my help.
I've been active in the Telerik forums for some time now, and they are amongst the most enjoyable and active I have seen, and I'm keen to be able to contribute more by getting the latest versions of the Telerik products we use earlier along with the other MVP benefits so I can assist others, Telerik, myself and my company.
All the best
