I'm stoked to share that Kendo UI is at Google I/O 2012 and that we've been invited to show-off Kendo UI in the exclusive Google Developer Sandbox! We'll be hanging-out in the Chrome Sandbox showing how Kendo UI can help you build incredible applications for Chrome and Chrome for Android, answering questions, and exchanging ideas. We've got some brand new demos and we're excited to meet the more than 5,500 developers descending on San Francisco for this week's big Google event.

GOOGLE I/O 101

For those not familiar, Google I/O is Google's annual premiere developer event (similar to Apple's WWDC and Microsoft's (once upon a time) PDC). Google uses this event to show-off what's next in the Google developer universe while focusing on the latest in web, mobile, and social breakthroughs, and this year is expected to be full of interesting announcements. Google it. You'll see.

Unlike the events run by Apple and Microsoft, though, Google does not have a traditional vendor expo. Instead, it invites a limited number of 3rd parties to come show the world how to build awesome things on the Google platform. Kendo UI is honored to be among the 13 vendors picked to show-off the Chrome platform.

Google I/O will run for the rest of the week here in San Francisco at the famous Moscone Center, and Kendo UI will be in the Sandbox on Thursday, June 28.

WHAT WE'LL BE SHOWING

To really show the power of Kendo UI and Chrome, we've been working on some new demos for the I/O Sandbox:

  1. TeamThing: Originally introduced as a simple mobile app, we've greatly expanded this app for Google I/O, adding much more power to the mobile app (optimized for Chrome on Android) and building a new desktop browser counterpart. The new demo will be live on Wednesday.
  2. [SECRET]: We've actually had the privilege to work with Google on another demo app, but we can't share any details just yet. Stay tuned for more details as Google I/O gets underway.

KEEP UP or SAY HI

If you're at Google I/O, be sure to come by and say hi in the Sandbox. We'll be there all day on Thursday. If you're not in San Francisco this week, keep up with us online. @toddanglin, @brandonsatrom, and @burkeholland are all here and tweeting. We'll also be sharing updates via @kendoui, so you can enjoy the I/O experience remotely.

We'd like to give Google a big thanks for inviting Kendo UI to the I/O Developer Sandbox this year and we look forward to sharing more exciting things with everyone this week!
