What's Coming in 2024

Look forward to exciting new features and improvements in each release! We are continuously evolving ThemeBuilder to solve the design challenges encountered by development and design teams. Our mission is to make it the easiest and most valuable styling tool in your arsenal. Below are some items we plan, but please check back as this list often changes.

Advanced Editing for the New UI Prompt Component

New feature

In the 2024 Q1 release, a new AI Prompt component became available for React, Angular, and Blazor. ThemeBuilder will soon support advances styling for these.

Control ThemeBuilder Variables Prefix

New feature
Currently, ThemeBuilder uses two prefixes for variables: (tb-) for its own and (Figma-) for those that come from Figma. In order to help you integrate themes into your preexisting styles, you will be able to customize these.

Style-Specific Component Variants and Combinations

New feature

For those that have complex component combinations, ThemeBuilder will allow you to style them as a unit rather than their individual elements. For example, you may have a Primary-Flat-Large button. In that case, you will be able to style them together.

New Kendo Themes Color System

Improvement

We will deliver a new unified color system for Kendo themes so that they all share one collection of colors. This will help make styling across themes more consistent and efficient and it will reduce theme file size. This will not break your current themes, but we will provide a migration path.
