Hello,

I am trying to learn how to use Visual studio to Manipulate test studio test.

I followed instructions from this link https://docs.telerik.com/teststudio/features/test-maintenance/export-visual-studio

When i choose to open the file in Visual studio i get error i click ok and nothing visually happens in visual studio.

if I open the .csproj file directly in visual studio i just see XML skeleton.

I have added some screen shots so that you can perhaps understand what im trying to do.

Hi Travis,

Can you share which version of Visual Studio you are using and what edition it is?

Please, note that Visual Studio Community Edition is not supported for Test Studio plugin - you need Professional or Enterprise edition

If the Visual Studio edition is compatible, you can check if the Test Studio extensions were installed successfully. You can open the Manage Extensions view in Visual Studio and check what is listed there, related to Test Studio (check the picture below).

Don't hesitate to get back to me in case of further questions. Thank you for your cooperation in advance.

Hello Travis,

Thank you for your prompt response. It seems that the Visual Studio version you have is compatible with Test Studio plugin and all necessary extensions are installed for it.

That said, you should be able to open the exported project by using the option to open an existing project directly from Visual Studio - choose the *csproj file created after the export was initiated from Test Studio. The project should be opened in Visual Studio, if you double click thе *csproj file  with the name of the project.

If this doesn't work as expected, can you share this project with me? We can use a private support thread for this, if necessary.

Regards,
Elena
