Backend Services v1.9
June 11, 2014
Backend Services v3.1
Added a possibility for creating read-only fields for data connector content types. This enables usage of computed or backend-calculated columns.
Columns with only Date or Time values can be mapped to data link content type properties. The Backend Services portal is also updated with date-only and time-only pickers for inserting such values
Ability to turn off cloud code logging - you can now turn off for cloud code requests.
Added preview for all supported image files in the Backend Services, Files Section (.jpeg/.jpg and .png)
New UI for sending push notification for a specific platform.
Added Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 as supported platforms for push notifications.
DataLink Server: Byte array values are correctly decoded from Base64 strings during insert.
DataLink Server: Content types can be created even if the metadata on the data link server contains a type with the same name. This could occur only in case of invalid metadata, which is fixed by overwriting the existing metadata.
Viewer accounts are prohibited from creating data connectors or content types from data connectors in the Backend Services portal.
Net SDK: Newtonsoft.Json library is now integrated into the sdk. All namespaces are prepended with "Telerik".
Authentication via Simple Web Token is now enabled by default in the data link server.
Connection string to the local SQLite database is hidden from the Import Application wizard of the data link server. This connection string should not be changed by the users.
Cloud code management in the web portal moved from content type screen to a general cloud code screen, where you can manage the cloud code for content types and the cloud functions.
