The upcoming KendoReact PdfViewer is a UI component designed to display PDF files within any React application. This allows end-users to view and interact with PDF files without having to download the files locally, or rely on the built-in browser capabilities to view PDF files in a separate tab.
Through the rest of 2021 and through 2022 the KendoReact team will be busy adding features to the native React Data Grid. One of the most popular components in the UI library today, this will remain a big focus for development in upcoming releases. These features include, but are not limited to:
Support for Multi-Column Headers with Column Virtualization
Configuration options to control number of records to be pre-rendered during Virtual Scrolling
Column Re-Ordering Auto-Scroll
Copy & Copy With Headers options for Selected Cells
The upcoming KendoReact Popover component is a flexible UI element that can appear upon hover, click, or any interaction with an element to provide additional context. This can be as simple as a few lines of text, or can contain additional HTML elements and interactivity points.
The KendoReact ScrollView component, also knows as a Carousel component, shows a collection of content or images within a single element which then swaps the content by scrolling to the left or right. Scrolling can happen automatically or with built-in left and right navigation elements.
Theme Sizing Options
Throughout 2022 the KendoReact team will work on adding an exciting new feature to all of the available themes (Default, Bootstrap, and Material): sizing options. This will allow developers to define if they want to have the default size of the available themes, if they want to increase the size of available elements, or create compact versions of each theme.
Scheduler: Adaptive Slot Height
The upcoming Adaptive Slot Height feature of the React Scheduler allows developers to break out of the uniform slot heights for available events and instead can allow event slots to increase their height to account for all events scheduled at the same time slot.
The KendoReact Editor will receive updates throughout all of 2022. This will include many of the features requested from existing users, as well as features common within rich text editors. These features include, but are not limited to:
Resizing images using drag handles
A Table Wizard
Alphabetical Ordered List
Resizing of the Editor
With the upcoming R1 2022 release the KendoReact team will add two highly-requested features to the React PanelBar: Support for Controlled Mode, which allows the PanelBar to be used in controlled mode, as well as Tab Mounted Options, giving customization options when a PanelBar item is mounted.
