Medium Trust and the RadUpload for Silverlight

In order to run the RadUpload for Silverlight in Medium Trust level you should do only one thing: register the upload handler in the web.config file. Here is short description how to do this:

1. Open (for editing) the web.config file related to the chosen aplication;
2. In the "handlers" section append your upload handler, i.e. add following code:
   
   

   <add name="MyRadUploadHandler_ashx"

   path="MyRadUploadHandler.ashx"

   verb="*"

   type="Telerik.Windows.RadUploadHandler" />

   
   Note: in the picture bellow this code is at the row 95 (in red color);
3. Now you can configure your web site (or the whole web server) to run in Medium Trust level. Of cource you can script by hand the command for Medium Trust level (see the row 66 in the picture bellow);

That's all - Silverlight really pamper us ;-).
Just give it a try.


PS: Because running the code from the RadUploadHandle is not enough we modified it and starting with SP1 for 2009 Q1 release the only thing you should do is to set the trust level. However we attached a prerelease version of upload handle assembly and an example too (see RadUpload_MediumTrust_pre2009Q1SP1.zip).
