Installation

To start using the Kendo UI Builder, provide the prerequisites and follow the installation process.

Prerequisites

  • Node.js version 6.9.0 or later.
  • For Windows—Windows 7 or later.
  • For Mac—The two latest versions of Mac OS.

Installation

Windows

  • By default, the installation of the Builder interrupts all running application instances. To avoid possible data loss, stop all such instances (if any).
  • The Windows Installer notifies you to install Node.js but does not automatically install it.
  1. Run the Windows Installer.
  2. Click Continue.
  3. Read License Agreement and click I Agree - Continue to proceed.
  4. (Optional) To review or update any installation settings, click Back.
  5. Click Install to start the installation.
  6. Click Finish after the installation completes.

Mac OS

No dedicated installer for Mac OS is available.

  1. Extract the .zip archive with the Mac OS distribution of the Builder.
  2. Start using it.

Uninstallation

Uninstalling the Builder does not uninstall Node.js.

On Windows:

  1. Open Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
  2. Right-click Progress® Kendo UI® Builder.
  3. Select Uninstall.
