New Native UI Components for React

The following new components were introduced with R3 2018:

Updates to Existing Components

The Grid received some big updates both in terms of features and under-the-hood changes.

Through our input elements, often used for forms, we added official integration with HTML5 form validation. This can be seen on individual component pages, like this one for our DateInput component.

The Calendar component also received the ability to hide its navigation and configure the calendar view depth through simple configuration options. More information can be found in the Calendar demo page.

Conversational UI

For everyone looking to add cognitive features in to their applications KendoReact has you covered with the new Conversational UI component.

Grid Updates

The Grid component received a ton of features for R2 2018 to ensure it can fit all of your data table needs.

Data Visualization

On top of the new components above, we also released a whole slew of data visualization components with this release, including:

Excel & PDF Export

Beyond UI components we also introduced the Excel and PDF export framework items to empower React developers to create these types of documents using JavaScript.

Localization

This release also included full support for localization across all of the KendoReact UI components

Material Theme

With the R2 2018 release the KendoReact components are all officially styled with the Material Theme.
