Hello
I try to use the BrowseEditor in DialogType=FontFialog and I am faced with a few questions:
The value returned is a string ex: "Microsoft Sans Serif; 12pt; style=Bold"
1. How do I convert this string to a font type, taking into account that depending on the culture the size may be shown as 8,5 or 8.5
2. How do I set the initial value of the fonteditor from a fontvariable
4. Selecting "Modern 20, bold, size 8", I get the value: "Modern No. 20; 8,249999pt; style=Bold" (not that I want to use this font but I came across this anomality ,,,)
5. How do I change the initial text "(none)" in a localized text
And While I am on the BrowseEditor, in folderBrowseDialog, I select the intial directory on the .value property and it sets it properly but it is not always "visible" how can I insurevisible on the selected folder
Thanks in advance

Hi
Using a RadBrowseEditor, how can I change at runtime (using code) the ForeColor of the text when control is disabled?
Hi,
I'm in a need for a dialog form that in the end returns a FilePath OR a DirectoryPath, with a TextBox that the user can paste something (file or directory).
I tried doing so with a System.Windows.Forms.FolderBrowserDialog but without success.
I'm turning over Telerik, found the RadBrowseEditor and calling the RadBrowseEditor .BrowseElement.BrowseButton.PerformClick() method for opening.
The best/closest DialogType is BrowseEditorDialogType.OpenFileDialog, but the problem is when pasting a DirectoryPath, the control navigates there and no event is raised (same as the system's FolderBrowserDialog, it's even the same used from Telerik).
I tried listening to events ValueChanging and also all those under the BrowseElement object, but nothing works.
Any idea (I didn't want to create a new form, developping the navigation treeview, textbox, since almost everyhing is there)?
thanks
I am using the RadBrowseEditior to select image files. I have coded the object to make sure the selected file is only one of the following:
*.BMP, *.GIF, *.PNG, *.JPG
I would also like the open file dialog box to have those items set as the shown files. Is there a setting to mask the file types in the file picker?
After the user selects an image file from the browse editor, I'd like to display it in a button, much like the example in the Telerik documentation. I've tried different calls to the button's methods including: Update, Refresh, and Invalidate. Nothing has worked. What am I missing?
1.
Private
Sub
radLogoFile_ValueChanged(sender
As
Object
, e
As
EventArgs)
Handles
radLogoFile.ValueChanged
2.
btnLogoImage.Image = System.Drawing.Image.FromFile(radLogoFile.Value)
3.
btnLogoImage.Update()
'Invalidate 'Refresh
4.
End
Sub
HI *,
I try to use OverwritePrompt feature like this:
<
p
>radBrowseEditor1.DialogType = BrowseEditorDialogType.SaveFileDialog;
</
p
><
p
>(radBrowseEditor1.Dialog as SaveFileDialog).OverwritePrompt = false</
p
>
;
But still having a question "<file path...> does not exist. Do you want to create?"
I would like to omit this question in this case but it seems to be not possible...
Here is the link: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.windows.forms.savefiledialog.overwriteprompt(v=vs.110).aspx
Thanks a lot

Hi
I have a RadBrowseEditor on a form with its DialogType set to FolderBrowseDialog.
At runtime, if I click the browse button to open the "Browse For Folder" dialog and click the "Make New Folder", type a name for the newly created folder BUT DO NOT PRESS THE ENTER KEY and click the OK button, the Value is set to "New Folder" instead of the name I have typed.
How to fix that?
Hi,
I am trying to set an initial path in a browse-for-folder editor. I have tried:
rbrIISNewWebsiteLocation.Text = Application.StartupPath;
and
(rbrIISNewWebsiteLocation.Dialog as FolderBrowserDialog).SelectedPath = Application.StartupPath;
but in both cases the text displays '(none)' and when I click the browse button is opens at the root of my computer?
