How do I add a typescript file to my icenium project?

In my typical web site projects I am used to being able to right click on the project and select "Add new item" and then locate the template for "Typescript File".  But in the icenium project I only see "HTML", "Javascript" and "Stylesheed". In the context menu I also see "scss" and "coffeescript" as options (from my "Web Essentials" add-in, I think).

Hello Adam,

Currently you cannot add and use a TypeScript file into the Icenium template. The Icenium extension for Visual Studio is still in Beta and there are quite a few things to be implemented and polished. We would research on whether it is possible to allow adding TypeScript into our templates and if applicable, would do our best to include it for the official version in mid November.

Please excuse us for the temporary inconvenience.
