Tree View

I am using rad tree view in my project. Where i need to get all the child node details when i select the parent node alone without expanding for the first time.

 i found in forum that GetItemByPath() (http://docs.telerik.com/devtools/wpf/controls/radtreeview/how-to/get-item-by-path.html) is the only option. 

Please guide me on this..

Can you please confirm, is this post regarding the RadTreeView for ASP.NET AJAX or for the Kendo UI TreeView (for ASP.NET MVC)? Since this is the Kendo UI forum, here is how to do this in Kendo UI: you can get the node children via the Node children property. See the examples in the docs for sample code. If this doesn't help, or if your question is for RadTreeView for ASP.NET AJAX (or another product), please elaborate.
