Hi. Apologies in advance for what might be a very nooby thread.

So, push notifications. I have played around with Icenium and love it. I am by no means a top developer but know my way around JS. I am very excited to see push notifications supported in Icenium.

So I was wondering, what do you actually need to support Push? I was wondering if it was possible to check an RSS feed and if there is a new one (maybe compare the latest feed number to something stored in local storage?) show a push notification?

Or have I got this all completely wrong?

The app I have in mind will be a video app so the user registers and has access to videos, so when there is a new video available it would be cool if they were notified.

Again, apologies if I have this all wrong :)

In case you've missed this: http://www.icenium.com/community/blog/icenium-team-blog/2013/04/17/push-notifications-with-cordova-icenium

There are also various resources on the net that explain the scenarios in which the plug-in can be utilized, so take a look at those. Good luck with your development!
