Hi,

I have implemented a popover which is called from a tab-strip element. The popover opens when the tab-strip element is clicked on and does not close when it is clicked again. While debugging I found out the popover open() is called after the close(), data-close is not been called.

The popover closes when we click anywhere outside the popover.

Thank you,

Hi,

I think the close event of the popover does not fire when closing via button in the popover.

It only seems to fire when the popover is closed by clicking outside of the popover window.

See http://dojo.telerik.com/EbEJO

Thanks for your help.

Howdy y'all.

I'm trying to figure out a way to use the mobile popover widget in a desktop site that is not using kendo mobile. The functionality is basically exactly what I am looking for. Is there any way to do this easily? I'm hoping I don't have to get to hacky with implementation.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Dear Kendo Team,

During past few days I have been experimenting with modal views and popovers trying to get them working together. Unfortunately, I have not succeeded, hence the questions below.

I would like to have a split view and after clicking on a button a modal view should be displayed. This is working fine. However, inside the modal view I would like to have elements (e.g. buttons) which would open a popover attached to them. After clicking on those elements, although there are no errors, the popover is not visible. Checking the site with a DOM inspector shows that the popover is hidden behind the modal view (z-index issue).

Could you please check if the described scenario is feasible with Kendo UI? If it is not a bug then could you please share a snippet showing how to use modal views and popovers at the same time?

After playing with popover's z-index I discovered a second issue. When the popover's z-index will be adjusted so that it will be in the foreground, clicking anywhere outside it will not only close the popover, but also the modal view beneath it will be closed. This behavior suggests that those two controls have not been designed to work together, which is very unfortunate for the project I am working on.

To sum up, I would like to know if it is possible to use popovers with modal views and if it is supported then how it should be implemented? if it is not, is there any chance that this will be fixed or implemented? when one can possible expect that?

Thank you in advance for you assistance. Please note that I have found an old thread (http://www.kendoui.com/forums/permalink/vG9f3CXSHk6nbHL9rzNRTg) mentioning that problem, but in my view it's rather popover issue, hence my post in this section.

Is it possible to open a PopOver programmatically from a regular link without the data-role='button' attribute?  I have an icon wrapped in a link and don't want all the bulky chrome of the standard button.

Hi, I am using the Popover control on a web app which is intended to be cross-platform from desktop to tablet.  On tablet devices, if a popover is open when the device orientation changes, the popover does not relocate itself to the correct relative position.  See this jsbin from an iPad for an example:

http://jsbin.com/jomehotuka

Can this be fixed, or is there a workaround known to work well?

I'm using the mobile PopOver in a Kendo Web SPA so I have to initialize my PopOver's manually by calling kendoMobilePopOver.  Everything is fine if I use the kendo.default.mobile.min.css CSS file but I want to use the flat theme so if I add the kendo.mobile.flat.min.css CSS file it doesn't render out correctly.  What combination of CSS files would I need to include to make this work?
