When trying to decompile some assembly via command line. (for example EMET, tool from Microsoft)

justdecompile.exe /taget C:\EMET\EMET_GUI.exe /out C:\emetgui

i get the error:

Could not load file or assembly DevExpress.Utils.v12.2, Version..... The system can not find the file specified.

also if i try to decomplile C:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\4.0\System.EnterpriseServices.dll

I get almost the same error:

"Could not find file system.enterprise.wrapper.dll"

In general it would nice if JustDecompile made a best effort to decompile as much as possible, even given that it may not find certain files.

Open both those files in the GUI version of justdecompile is fine, but when i expand out the tree i eventually hit some class/or a method and the GUI prompts for the missing library (like DevExpress.Utils.v12.2). I would like the Cmd line decompiler to just ignore those errors and keep decompiling as much as possible.

Thanks

Hi,

Please accept our apologies. There is a problem when trying to extract one of the embedded assembly resources. You are right that such problems wouldn't need to break the whole project generation at all. As a result i have prepared a fix for those cases. I can send you a private build with the fix if you want.

Thanks for the super prompt response!

A copy to test would be great thanks. I assume the fixes will be in the next official release also.
