New Sitefinity Release Boosts Productivity and Accountability by Automating Digital Asset Management
Waltham, Mass., July 22, 2014 – Telerik®, today announced the latest release of its award-winning content management system, Sitefinity®, providing users greater information governance capabilities, along with new productivity improvements. The release underlines the business importance of transparency and accountability in the development process, in order to improve end-user confidence in their online experiences.
According to Forrester Research, “As we look to the future, it is clear that managing business records separately from their process and context doesn't meet the needs of digital-first, agile organizations…Information governance, including content, will be pushed early into the business life cycle. Rules and policies will transparently embed retention, disposition and storage conditions onto content.”
More and more private critical business and customer information is going online. Accordingly, it’s become essential to utilize an automated, streamlined process and environment to manage digital assets and deliver digital experiences. The System Audit Trail, now available in the Telerik Sitefinity CMS, provides a measure of transparent protection and full accountability by helping organizations supervise processes while managing digital assets. In addition, the newly-released Recycle Bin functionality complements the framework’s comprehensive versioning system by helping content authors archive and revert content items.
In addition to information governance enhancements, the new Telerik Sitefinity CMS also boosts developer productivity. In the latest release, the framework offers XML sitemaps to make content more discoverable, content duplication, which helps content authors copy and repurpose content items, and template thumbnails to help users quickly find the templates they need.
“With the current release of Telerik Sitefinity, we are aiding our customers in their quest to properly govern important customer data. Coupled with an array of productivity advancements, Telerik Sitefinity CMS is even more aligned with better business practices. These are not only practical in implementation, but also critical to business success,” said Martin Kirov, Executive Vice President, Telerik Sitefinity.”
