More and more developers are building "realtime" capabilities in their apps, as evidenced by the popularity of tools like SignalR (.NET) and socket.io (OSS). To support realtime backends, the Kendo UI DataSource will be enhanced to include support for these scenarios.
Add left-side frozen columns support to the Kendo UI Grid.
The editor widget will be enhanced to support drag and drop of tables from Word and images to its content area.
A new widget that enables developers to add non-blocking notifications to their apps. This widget will provide support for warnings, errors and simple notifications, animations and the like.
Front-end developers often need a way to restrict the input allowed by a form field based on predefined rules. Kendo UI will provide a generic Mask Input control that allows developers to specify a mask type (rules, formatting, etc) on an input field.
Kendo UI will deliver a new widget that allows a list of items to be sorted by the end-user via drag and drop.
