PROBLEM
When installing/uninstalling Telerik Reporting the following error is thrown:
Error 27502
SOLUTION
In its nature that's a login error: "Error 27502. Could not Connect to
Microsoft SQL Server. Login failed for "User/Service here".
You need to make sure the account that runs the Reporting installer
has administrative rights to the database server you've selected. The
Reporting installation asks for a database server as it installs the
AdventureWorks database needed for the demo reports. These demo reports
however are
available online,
so if you do not need/want local copy of them, simply deselect them
from the installation options and you would not be prompted for a
database server.
Note: the installation of the AdventureWorks database can only be performed on a
LOCAL database server and you cannot use REMOTE database server for this purpose.
