Telerik Data Access executes the read operations without starting transactions for them and places them in such only if a CUD operation had already started one. This runtime behavior in a situation like the following:
(EntitiesModel dbContext =
IQueryable<Category> categories = dbContext.Categories.
Where(c => c.CategoryID > someComparisonValue);
"New Category Name"
IList<Category> categories = dbContext.Categories.
Where(c => c.CategoryID > someComparisonValue).ToList();
