HOW-TOCreate RadChart content file with Visual StudioANSWERVisual Studio.NET eases the creation of XML files by providing a built-in XML editor, capabilities to validate the XML structure and IntelliSense support. To create a content file for the RadChart follow these steps:
1. Copy the RadChart's schema file (RadChart.xsd) into the following directory:
[Visual Studio .NET]/Common7/Packages/schemas/xml,
where [Visual Studio .NET] is the folder where your Visual Studio .NET is installed.
2. Create a new .xml file
From the main menu select File -> New -> File | General | XML File. click on the "Open" button.
3. Add IntelliSense support
Click inside the .xml file. Pres F4 to open Properties Window. Set targetSchema to http://www.telerik.com/Intellisense/RadChart
4. Start writing the .xml file.
5. The ready XML file
The RadChart's xml file can be used in two ways. First, you can set it as a content file of the chart control (RadChart1.ContentFile = "RadChart.xml") and second you can load it dynamicaly using the LoadFromXml(...) method (RadChart1.LoadFromXml("RadChart.xml")). You can specify only relative file names for the .xml file.
